On Monday, April 17th at approximately 12:37 PM, a white male entered the Bank of America, robbing them of an undisclosed amount of US Currency before fleeing on foot. Investigators were told that the suspect entered the bank from the Goldsborough Street entrance and confronted one of their tellers. The suspect demanded bills in certain denominations to be placed in a bag that he provided. After the teller complied, the suspect fled the bank, from the same point of entry and ran east along Goldsborough Street. No weapons were displayed or mentioned and no bank employees were assaulted.
The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 6ft tall, wearing mirrored sunglasses and a red hooded sweatshirt. Afterwards, video surveillance showed the suspect discarding the hoodie and sunglasses in the area of 25 N. Harrison St. He was then described as wearing a black t-shirt and black pants. A K9 team from Talbot County Sheriff’s Office tracked the suspect to the area of Walmart on Elliott Road.
Assistance was provided by the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigations, and Bluepoint Hospitality Security Services.
After further investigation, investigators were able to identify the suspect as Todd Niel Holtzman. On April 18, 2023, at approximately 1 PM, Easton Police Department’s Critical Response Unit’s Tactical Team assisted with the apprehension of Holtzman at his Cambridge Commons apartment in Cambridge, MD. Holtzman was later transported to the Talbot County Detention Center where he remains on No Bond.
